Air Astana, KC series flights at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
Air Astana is the principal airline and the flag carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. As of June 2026, it operates scheduled domestic and international services on 65 routes from its main hub, Almaty International Airport, and from its secondary hub, Astana International Airport.
Air Astana's 65 routes include most major cities in Kazakhstan and an
increasing number of neighboring Central Asian and Russian cities.
Air Astana started flying to Kuala Lumpur in October 2018, introducing one
flight weekly for the Almaty - Kuala Lumpur vice versa route, utilising Boeing
767-300 ER with 220 seating capacity. The flight takes approximately eight
hours. Air Astana now flies twice weekly (on Sunday and Thursday) to Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia.
