Air Astana Lost and Found at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
If you have misplaced an item during your Air Astana flight or within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the appropriate reporting procedure depends on where the item was lost. Follow the sections below to report and recover your belongings.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Items left onboard Air Astana aircraft should be reported to Air Astana or its
local ground handling team. Passengers should provide their flight number,
travel date, seat number, and a detailed description of the missing item to
assist with identification and recovery.
Items Lost at the Airport
Items lost in public areas of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, including the
check-in halls, security screening areas, immigration, departure lounges, and
arrival corridors, are handled by the KLIA Lost and Found Office.
Baggage-Related Lost Property
Passengers who cannot locate their checked baggage upon arrival must report the
missing baggage immediately at the Lost & Found/Baggage Tracing office before
leaving the arrivals area. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is completed to
initiate baggage tracing.
Reporting a Lost Item
When reporting a lost item onboard an Air Astana flight, passengers should
provide their flight number, travel date, seat number, and a detailed
description of the missing item. For delayed or missing checked baggage,
passengers should also present their baggage tag when filing the report.
Recovery and Collection
If a lost item is located, it may be collected in person at KLIA. A passenger
may also authorize another person in writing to collect the item on their
behalf.
Passenger Advice
Passengers should report missing checked baggage before leaving the arrivals
area, as baggage tracing begins only after a report has been filed with the Lost
& Found or baggage tracing office.
