Air Astana Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Air Astana from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Each passenger departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may bring the
following cabin baggage:
Economy and Premium Economy Class: 1 cabin bag up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs).
Business Class: 2 cabin bags, each up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs).
Each cabin bag must not exceed 56 cm × 45 cm × 25 cm, including handles and
wheels, and must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front.
Carry-on baggage is subject to security screening at KLIA. Baggage exceeding the permitted size or weight limits must be checked
into the aircraft hold.
Checked Baggage Policy
Checked baggage allowance for Air Astana flights departing from KLIA is determined by the purchased fare:
Economy Basic: No free checked baggage.
Economy Classic: 1 piece up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Economy Plus: 2 pieces, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Sleeping Economy: 2 pieces, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs).
Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total linear dimensions
(length + width + height).
The maximum weight for any individual checked bag is 32 kg. Baggage weighing
more than 32 kg is not accepted as checked baggage and must be transported as
cargo.
Passengers should verify the baggage allowance shown on their ticket before
arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Extra Baggage
Additional checked baggage may be purchased through Air Astana before departure.
Extra baggage purchased at least 36 hours before departure is eligible for a
discounted rate compared with airport prices.
Excess baggage charges apply when the number of pieces, weight, or dimensions
exceed the permitted allowance.
Sports equipment and other special baggage may require prior approval and are
subject to additional handling charges.
