Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger travelling with Garuda Indonesia may bring the following cabin baggage:

• Economy Class and Business Class: 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (15.4 lbs).

Each cabin bag must not exceed 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm, including handles and wheels, and must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front.

Carry-on baggage is subject to security screening at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Baggage exceeding the permitted size or weight limits must be checked into the aircraft hold.

Checked Baggage Policy

Checked baggage allowance for Garuda Indonesia flights is based on the passenger’s travel class, route and ticket conditions.

• Economy Class: Up to 30 kg (66 lbs).
• Business Class: Up to 40 kg (88 lbs).

Each checked bag must not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs) and 158 cm (62 inches) in total linear dimensions (length + width + height).

Baggage exceeding the permitted allowance or weight limit is subject to excess baggage charges.

Passengers should verify the baggage allowance shown on their ticket before arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage may be purchased through Garuda Indonesia before departure.

Excess baggage charges apply when baggage exceeds the permitted allowance in weight, size or quantity.

Sports equipment and other special baggage items may require prior approval and are subject to applicable handling fees and conditions.
