Kuala Lumpur Tourism Board
The Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau implements the initiatives in the Kuala
Lumpur Tourism Master Plan 2015 - 2025 focusing on Tourism development,
promotion, and destination marketing. The unique organizational structure of
the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau will ensure an all-rounded sector focus and
functional support in all aspects.
In 2012, KL was the world's 6th most visited city by international tourists.
In 2011, KL was awarded "Asia's Leading City Break Destination" by the World
Travel Awards. In line with this, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (KLCH) has
initiated several programmes to further spur its growth in the global
tourism sector.
As a strong dedicated body that will drive, coordinate and monitor all city
tourism efforts, the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau will champion all tourism
efforts and functions implemented in Kuala Lumpur. The Kuala Lumpur Tourism
Bureau will pioneer the drive to establish Kuala Lumpur as a global tourism
destination.
The Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau logo is the main and most valuable asset to
the brand identity. It is a distinct combination of graphic elements and
typography, which creates a vital relationship that, cannot be altered in
any way.
The logo brand mark is an important symbol to create a trendy, modern and
inviting feel through the silhouettes of important landmarks of the city.
The design approach is also very contemporary one that will reflect the
image of the city as being a very modern city that has not undermined its
rich cultural heritage.
