KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) must comply
with KLM's cabin baggage allowance according to their travel class.
•
Economy Basic: 1 small personal item measuring up to 40 × 30 × 15 cm and
weighing up to 12 kg.
•
Economy Light / Standard / Flex: 1 cabin bag and 1 small personal item with a combined maximum
weight of 12 kg (26 lbs).
• Premium Comfort Class: 2 cabin bag and 1 small
personal item with a combined maximum weight of 12 kg (26 lbs).
• Business
Class: 2 cabin bags and 1 small personal item with a combined maximum weight of
18 kg (40 lbs).
Each cabin bag must not exceed 55 cm × 35 cm × 25 cm,
including handles and wheels. The personal item must fit under the seat in front
of the passenger.
Cabin baggage exceeding the permitted size or weight
limits will be checked into the aircraft hold.
Checked Baggage
Policy
Checked baggage allowance is determined by the fare type
and cabin class shown on the passenger's ticket.
• Economy Basic / Light:
No free checked baggage.
• Economy Standard / Flex: 1 checked bag up to 23 kg
(50 lbs).
• Premium Comfort Class: 2 checked bags, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Business Class: 2 checked bags, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs).
Each checked
bag must not exceed 158 cm (length + width + height) in total dimensions. The
maximum accepted weight for a single checked bag is 32 kg.
Passengers
should confirm their baggage allowance before arriving at Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA).
Extra Baggage
Additional checked baggage can be purchased through KLM before departure or
during online check-in. Fees are based on the route and the weight or number of
additional bags.
Oversized, overweight and special baggage, including
sporting equipment and musical instruments, are accepted subject to KLM's
baggage conditions and applicable charges. Advance arrangements may be required
for selected items.
