IndiGo Lost and Found at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
If you have misplaced an item during your IndiGo flight or within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the appropriate reporting procedure depends on where the item was lost. Follow the sections below to report and recover your belongings.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Personal belongings left inside an IndiGo aircraft are handled by the airline
together with its appointed ground handling agent at Kuala Lumpur International
Airport (KLIA). Passengers should submit a report as soon as the loss is
discovered and include their flight details together with a description of the
missing item to support the search process.
Items Lost at the
Airport
Property misplaced within the passenger terminals at
KLIA, including the departure and arrival areas, security screening checkpoints
and other public facilities, falls under the responsibility of the airport's
Lost and Found Office. Enquiries relating to items lost inside the terminal
should be directed to the airport rather than the airline.
Missing Checked Baggage
Passengers whose checked baggage does
not arrive on the baggage carousel should visit the airline's Baggage Services
counter in the arrivals hall before leaving the airport. A Property Irregularity
Report (PIR) is created to register the case and begin baggage tracing.
Filing a Lost Property Report
A report should include
the passenger's name, flight number, date of travel and a detailed description
of the missing property. For baggage-related cases, the baggage claim tag and
boarding pass may be requested to verify ownership and support the tracing
process.
Collection of Recovered Items
Once the
missing property has been located, collection arrangements will be provided by
the airline or the relevant airport office. Identification is required when
collecting recovered items, and an authorised representative may collect them on
the passenger's behalf with written authorisation.
Important
Information
Passengers should report delayed or missing checked
baggage before exiting the arrivals area at KLIA. Cases are registered and
traced only after a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) has been completed.
