Passengers travelling with American Airlines may bring 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item free of charge.

• Carry-on baggage size limit: 56 × 36 × 23 cm (22 × 14 × 9 inches), including handles and wheels.
• The carry-on bag must fit in the overhead compartment.
• Personal items such as handbags, laptop bags or small backpacks must fit under the seat.

Checked Baggage Policy

American Airlines checked baggage allowance depends on the fare type, travel route, cabin class and passenger status.

• Economy and Premium Economy Class: up to 23 kg (50 lbs) per checked bag.
• Business and First Class: up to 32 kg (70 lbs) per checked bag.
