If you have misplaced an item during your Air China flight or within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the appropriate reporting procedure depends on where the item was lost. Follow the sections below to report and recover your belongings.
Lost Items on Air China Flights
Items left onboard Air
China aircraft at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) should be reported
to Air China or its appointed ground handling representative.
Passengers
should provide the following information when making a report:
• Flight
number.
• Travel date.
• Seat number.
• Description of the lost item.
Lost Items Within KLIA
Items misplaced inside Kuala
Lumpur International Airport, including check-in areas, departure areas, arrival
halls and other public facilities, should be reported to the KLIA Lost and Found
service.
Passengers should provide the item description, location of loss
and approximate time when reporting a lost item.
Missing Checked
Baggage
Passengers who do not receive their checked baggage
after arrival must report the issue at the airline baggage service counter
before leaving the baggage reclaim area.
A Property Irregularity Report
(PIR) will be completed to start the baggage tracing process. Passengers should
provide their baggage tag and flight details for verification.
Lost Item Collection
When a lost item is recovered, collection
instructions will be provided by Air China, its ground handling representative
or the relevant KLIA Lost and Found service.
Identification may be
required when collecting recovered items. Collection by another person may
require written authorization.
Passenger Reminder
Passengers should report missing checked baggage immediately upon arrival
and keep their baggage tag until the case has been resolved.
