Air China Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Air China from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers travelling on Air China flights departing from Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA) may bring the following cabin baggage:
Economy Class:
• 1 cabin bag up to 5 kg (11 lbs).
Business Class and
First Class:
• 2 cabin bags, each up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs).
Each cabin
bag must not exceed 55 cm × 40 cm × 20 cm, including handles and wheels, and
must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat.
Carry-on baggage
is subject to security screening at KLIA. Baggage exceeding the permitted size
or weight limits must be checked into the aircraft hold.
Checked
Baggage Policy
Air China’s checked baggage allowance is based on
the passenger’s route, travel class and ticket conditions.
The baggage
allowance is shown on the passenger’s ticket or booking confirmation before
travel.
Checked baggage requirements:
• Maximum dimension per bag:
158 cm in total linear dimensions (length + width + height).
• Maximum weight
per single bag: 32 kg.
Baggage exceeding the permitted weight limit must
be repacked or transported as cargo according to Air China regulations.
Passengers should confirm their baggage allowance before arriving at Kuala
Lumpur International Airport.
Extra Baggage
Additional baggage may be purchased through Air China before departure, subject
to applicable fees and conditions.
Extra baggage charges apply when
baggage exceeds the permitted allowance for:
• Number of pieces.
•
Weight.
• Dimensions.
Sports equipment, oversized baggage and special
baggage items are subject to Air China’s baggage regulations and may require
advance arrangements.
