Air Algérie Lost and Found at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

If you have misplaced an item during your Air Algérie flight or within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the appropriate reporting procedure depends on where the item was lost. Follow the sections below to report and recover your belongings.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Items left onboard Air Algérie aircraft should be reported to Air Algérie or the airline’s appointed ground handling team at KLIA.

Passengers should provide their flight number, travel date, seat number, and a detailed description of the lost item to assist with identification and recovery.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items lost within KLIA, including check-in areas, security screening areas, immigration areas, departure halls, and arrival areas, are handled by the KLIA Lost and Found service.

Passengers who lose personal belongings inside the airport should report the item to the airport’s Lost and Found office with details including the location, time, and description of the item.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers who do not receive their checked baggage upon arrival must report the missing baggage immediately at the Air Algérie baggage service desk or the airline’s handling agent before leaving the baggage claim area.

A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be completed to begin the baggage tracing process. Passengers should provide their baggage tag, flight details, and contact information when submitting a report.

Reporting a Lost Item

When reporting a lost item related to an Air Algérie flight, passengers should provide:

• Flight number
• Travel date
• Seat number (for items left onboard)
• Detailed description of the missing item
• Contact details for follow-up

For delayed or missing checked baggage, passengers should also provide their baggage tag number and PIR reference number.

Recovery and Collection

If a lost item is found, passengers may collect the item from the designated collection point at KLIA.

A passenger may authorize another person to collect the item on their behalf, subject to identification requirements and authorization procedures.

Passenger Advice

Passengers should report missing checked baggage before leaving the arrivals area, as baggage tracing can only begin after a report has been filed.

Passengers are advised to keep their baggage receipts, baggage tags, and travel documents until their journey has been completed.
